SPECIAL BENEFITS

SPECIAL BENEFIT GRANTS
One third of the charities income approximately £30,000 is distributed under Section 3 by way of special benefits to allow qualifying schools and Henley College to buy additional educational resources for their facility.

Applicants are required to supply in the application form : -

1) Number of pupils attending the school
2) Supply a list items for which HEC funding is required together with their costs.
3) Describe the educational benefits of items and pupils benefiting.

ALLOCATION
Allocation is based on division of the amount available by the school nominal roll together with the use of a multiplier based on the trustees evaluation of the school needs. Therefore some deprived schools may get “above par” per pupil where other more affluent schools get “below par.”

A few schools only contain a small proportion of pupils from our qualifying parishes, which may also reduce the grant. Funding will only be given for items approved by the Trustees.

GRANTS DEADLINE
Special Benefits are divided between the applicants during a special meeting in May.
So it is essential to get your application into the clerk by April 1st at the latest so as not to miss out on HEC funding. Once the money allocated-no late applications can be made.
